What to expect from your first clean

If you’ve never hired a professional cleaner before, here’s exactly how it goes with Prime Cleaning Services — from first contact to the moment your home is clean.

1. You reach out

2. Short walkthrough conversation

We’ll ask a few questions — usually by phone:

  • Home size (m²) and number of rooms/bathrooms
  • Pets? Allergies? Fragrance sensitivities?
  • Are there priority areas (kitchen, bathroom, bedrooms)?
  • Any add-ons (inside oven, inside fridge, windows, ironing)?
  • Do you want a one-time clean, or are you exploring recurring service?

For larger homes or unusual situations, we may do an on-site walkthrough first. No charge for the walkthrough.

3. Quote and scheduling

We quote the first visit in hours (standard rate 35 €/h + 25,5 % ALV). Typical first visits:

  • Studio or 1-bedroom: 2–3 hours
  • 2-bedroom apartment: 3–4 hours
  • Family home (3+ bedrooms): 4–6 hours
  • Move-out clean: 4–8 hours (empty apartment is faster)

First visits tend to run slightly longer than ongoing visits — we’re learning the home and establishing a baseline. After the first visit we usually have a more accurate quote for recurring.

4. Before we arrive — what helps

  • Clear counters and floors of items that should be put away — clutter slows the clean, and we don’t want to move personal belongings
  • Put away delicate items (jewelry, heirlooms, important papers)
  • Note anything fragile or high-value and flag it to the cleaner
  • Decide access — key pickup, door code, or meet-in-person at arrival
  • Consider your pets — many pets are fine, but anxious animals are easier on everyone in a separate room during the visit

5. During the clean

You don’t need to be home. Our cleaners work from their own equipment and professional-grade products — we bring everything unless you’ve asked for own supplies. If anything needs a decision (a stain we can’t remove without a specific product, or a piece of furniture we’re unsure about moving), we’ll call or text.

6. After the first clean

  • Walk through if you’d like — we prefer hearing feedback directly so we can adjust for next time
  • Invoice arrives by email, fully itemized: hours × rate + VAT, labour cost separated for kotitalousvähennys

  • Schedule the next visit if you want recurring service — or don’t, there’s no obligation

What we bring vs what you provide

We bring: vacuum, mops, microfibre cloths, general purpose cleaner, bathroom cleaner, glass cleaner, descaler, oven cleaner (on request), and all other standard cleaning products. Our vacuum cleaners have HEPA filtration.

You can optionally provide: specific fragrance-free or allergen-free products if you prefer, dish soap for kitchen work, and anything unusually specific your household uses.

If something isn’t right

Call or email within a few days. For recurring service, we adjust for next time. For one-off cleans (especially move-out), we return to address anything specific at no extra charge — it’s standard practice, not a favour.
