Move-in and move-out cleaning — Helsinki, Espoo, Vantaa

Move-out cleaning (muuttosiivous) is a handover-quality deep clean between tenants. Most Finnish rental contracts require the outgoing tenant to return the property in clean condition, and landlords and housing managers routinely inspect after the move. Prime Cleaning Services has been doing these handovers in Helsinki, Espoo, and Vantaa since 2012.

What a move-out clean covers

  • Kitchen — deep: inside and outside oven, stovetop, rangehood filter, inside fridge/freezer (defrosted if needed), inside cabinets and drawers, sink and faucet descaled
  • Bathroom — deep: toilet, shower/bath with grout and descaling, sink, mirror, fixtures, floor, drain covers
  • Rooms: all floors (vacuum + mop), baseboards, window sills, door frames, light switches, wall marks wiped where possible
  • Closets and storage: inside and shelves wiped
  • Windows: interior glass and frames; sills
  • Entryway and balcony: floor and surfaces

We can also handle individual items like interior window washing on upper floors (ladder-accessible), sauna cleaning, or balcony/terrace deep clean on request.

How long it takes

A typical move-out clean takes 4–8 hours, depending on apartment size, condition, and whether the space is empty when we arrive (easier if furniture and belongings are already out). A studio usually takes 4–5 hours; a family apartment 6–8 hours. We can send two cleaners to finish in half the time if your handover schedule is tight.

Pricing and kotitalousvähennys

Same hourly rate as our other home services: 32 €/hour + 24 % ALV (39,68 €/hour gross). Because a single move-out clean often runs over the 150 € annual kotitalousvähennys threshold on its own, the 35 % labour deduction typically applies on the full labour cost — effectively about 25,80 €/hour for the work.

When to book

Ideally 1–2 weeks before your handover date. The clean is easiest on an empty apartment, so we usually schedule for the day before or the day of the key return. If your landlord or agent wants to inspect on a specific day, let us know and we’ll work backward from that.

  • Vantaa: Tikkurila, Myyrmäki, Aviapolis, Hakunila, Korso, Martinlaakso, Koivukylä, Pakkala, and more.

Common questions

Will this pass a landlord inspection?
In the vast majority of cases yes. If a landlord flags something specific, contact us within a few days and we will come back to address it at no extra charge.

Do I need to be present?
No — we can work from a key code or key pickup. Prime Cleaning Services is fully insured (vastuuvakuutus), Y-tunnus 2486114-7.

Do you clean appliances left behind?
Yes — oven, stovetop, fridge, freezer, rangehood filter are all part of the standard move-out clean.
